Mesh chairs - I first saw a mesh chair about 15 years ago, though I suppose they have been around a bit longer than that. These are basically task or executive chairs that have a mesh back. Most are still fully adjustable and ergonomic, but the mesh back provides great ventilation and breathability. Some even have mesh seats!
There are many points to think about when purchasing your ergonomic office chair. You have to look for a seat that is adjustable, so that you can modify it to suit your own special requirements. You also want to find a seat that can support your back (as should be) and spine, specially in the lumbar area, which can help prevent pain and injury caused by sitting in the same position for long periods of time. You also want to make certain that the seat is big enough to be comfy also. You should look for an office chair that has arm rests, which can hold up your arms as you type, avoiding shoulder and neck damage, as well as a chair that can swivel.
Picnic Time makes beach chairs that are like standard, folding beach chairs, but with extra's that makes it stand apart from the competition. There are a variety of styles, wood and aluminum, and what makes them unique is the handy carrying strap, the pocket that hangs from one arm that has multiple pockets to hold water bottles, phones, books and magazines, etc. Some even have a larger, insulated pocket to keep items cold. Some styles have their own handy sun shade that attaches to the back of the chair. These chairs really are designed to make a day at the beach fun and convenient.
An alternative to untreated wood is painted or weather treated wood. This extends the durability of the rocking chair and can make the chair weatherproof. Some people will prime and paint the untreated wood and that will help it last several more years. A water sealant can also be added to untreated wood, but will have to be reapplied every year.
The smooth feel of the recycled plastic is also very appealing. You do not have to worry about getting splinters or slivers in your legs when you are wearing shorts. Plus it is just so much nicer to run your hands along the smooth handrails of a recycled plastic chair as compared to the rough edges of a natural wood chair.
